Packing House & Cold Storage

image

Our packing house receives, processes, and packs tomatoes and an assortment of other produce. Upon receipt, the produce is washed using the Tsunami 100 single-spray system, sorted by size and color, and manually inspected by trained employees before finally being packed into customer-specified packaging. Expertly packed products are then available for customer pick-up or local in-state delivery within California.

Our cold storage receives produce for storage or cross docking. An onsite pre-cooler blasts cold air to quickly cool produce to proper temperatures for storage in one of our four cooler rooms.

Covid-19 Precautions

We sanitize our machines, facilities, and tools each and every day, and oftentimes multiple times a day! We ensure there are hand sanitizing and hand washing stations throughout our buildings. And our employees use masks, gloves, and hair nets for food safety practices.

Clean Produce

We use the Tsunami 100 single-sprayer and roller systems to wash all tomatoes  that arrive in our facility. Our machines, belts, and rollers are cleaned on a daily basis, and more frequently if needed.

Reducing Waste

image

We take pride in reducing waste and lowering our environmental impact throughout all areas of our business. We reuse clean and empty packaging boxes; and recycle office paper, corrugated cardboard, plastic, and metal. And excess produce sometimes goes to local pig and cattle farmers in the Fresno area!

Community

image

We care about our community, and donate produce to help and support local charities and food banks including: Central California Food Bank, Food to Share, Poverello House, Fresno Rescue Mission, Goodwill, and Salvation Army.
